In 2006, both Todd and Frank were working separately as a freelance graphic artist and freelance copywriter. Through our work with the Central Oregon Environmental Center, we got to know each other and begin to work as a team on certain projects.
Each of us had the same commitment to using our talents in a way that supported sustainable, environmentally friendly companies. Over time, we came to realize that we enjoyed working as a team. We found more common ground in our shared goals and ideas about what marketing and advertising should do for our customers. And we found a certain balance in our work by sharing our unique creative perspectives.
At the end of 2006, we decided to form a new business – Key Creatives – with the sole purpose of specializing in a genuine effort to help the organizations looking for a “better way” to do business. We don’t define our success simply by our bottom line profits. In the book Marketing that Matters, Chip Conley and Eric Friedenwald-Fishman call this combining your, “value proposition and values proposition.”
We try to balance our values (commitment to socially responsible business practices) with the value (tangible results) you gain from our services. And we hope to provide you with the opportunity to create
a balance between your values and the value you bring to your customers, as well.
